Courgette and Goat’s Cheese Pizza


An ol’ reliable Paul Hollywood recipe for you here for my next GBBO bake-along instalment, at least the dough is and it’s the only pizza base recipe that I’ve had success with.  The dough probably needs more than an hour to rise and I generously add 2 packs of the little fast-action yeasts otherwise in my experience it just doesn’t rise!









Goat’s cheese and caramelised onion is one of my favourite pizza toppings, I vary whether I add tomato puree spread over the base, in this case I left it out so I could overload with courgette.  As you can probably tell I prefer a heavy pizza topping to base ratio but if it’s veg with a spritz of olive oil it’ll wilt down.












Obviously no fresh pizza order is complete without garlic bread, so I made a side of that, slightly overdone.  It all only takes about 10 mins in a hot oven and is really satisfying compared to shop-bought pizza, if you plan ahead to make it.









It may not be as bread week appropriate as a traditional loaf but I approve of the Hollywood Pizza recipe.
